Coach Bobby has over 25 years of experience in the sport of Olympic weightlifting. After graduating from Escambia high school in 1998 he started his Olympic weightlifting career. In 1999 he won gold in junior nationals and in 2000 he won gold in senior nationals. He had experience in national and international competition with the Original Team Florida under the watchful eye of Ena McKenzie and Rich Lansky. He was also a chosen resident athlete for the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.
Coach Bobby has had his coaching certification since 1998. He seriously took up coaching in 2003 and has worked his way up to national level coach. Within his coaching career he has coached a masters world champion, 2 masters Pan Am champions, a Junior National silver medalist and a Junior National bronze medalist. He has helped over 20 athletes qualify for youth, junior, senior and masters lifters to national and international level.
